Aglaonema pictum ‘Tricolor’ (baby plant)

Aglaonema pictum ‘Tricolor’ is one of the most spectacular and sought-after Aglaonema varieties, thanks to its unique leaves, which resemble natural camouflage. The leaves are oval, thick, and feature a distinctive pattern in three shades of green: dark green, light green, and gray-green. This exotic plant originates from the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and is valued both for its ornamental appearance and its low-care requirements.

Care:

Light

• It prefers bright, indirect light to maintain the intensity of the colors on its leaves.

• Its tolerance for lower light makes it ideal for less brightly lit indoor spaces, but the variegated colors may become less vibrant.

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

Temperature

• It grows best at temperatures between 18-27°C.

• It is sensitive to cold and does not tolerate temperatures below 15°C.

• Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Humidity

• It prefers moderate to high humidity.

• In dry environments, mist the leaves periodically with water or use a humidifier.

• Avoid overwatering the leaves to prevent spots or mold from developing.

Watering

• Keep the soil slightly moist, but not waterlogged.

• Water the plant when the top layer of soil is dry to the touch.

• Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent water accumulation and root rot.

Soil
