Sansevieria is a plant native to Africa, Madagascar, and southern Asia, and is grown here as a houseplant. It copes well with warmth and strong light but will also tolerate shade. It is important that it is grown in well-drained soil and not overwatered.

Care:

  1. Light: Sansevieria 'Almond Jade' prefers bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light. It can be placed both in sunny spots and in areas with partial shade. Prolonged direct sun exposure can cause leaf burns.

  2. Watering: The plant should be watered moderately, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. During winter, watering should be significantly reduced as the plant enters a resting period.

  3. Soil: Prefers well-drained, slightly sandy soil. A mix for cacti or succulents is ideal for Sansevieria 'Almond Jade'. It is important that the soil does not retain water.

  4. Temperature: The plant grows best at temperatures between 18-27°C. It can tolerate lower temperatures down to about 10°C but must be protected from frost.

  5. Humidity: Sansevieria 'Almond Jade' tolerates dry air well and does not require high humidity. It is a suitable plant for the usual indoor climate.

  6. Fertilizing: Fertilize the plant once every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength.
