Sulcorebutia rauschii, also known as Purple Cactus, is a striking collector’s cactus, recognized for its globular shape and unusual skin color – deep shades of purple, violet, or burgundy, which can vary depending on light and temperature. Each tubercle has fine spines, almost pressed against the body, and during the flowering period it produces brightly colored flowers, usually intense pink or violet.

This species originates from the mountainous regions of Bolivia and is ideal for enthusiasts of rare fleshy plants or for minimalist urban decor, in small pots or dry arrangements.

🌿 General characteristics:

• Family: Cactaceae

• Shape: globular, compact, often forms colonies

• Color: purple-violet, with short, fine spines

• Flowers: pink or violet, appear at the top in spring–summer

• Growth: slow, requires little space

🌞 Care conditions:
