Full description and specifications

Selenicereus anthonyanus, also known as Cryptocereus anthonyanus, or popularly "Zigzag cactus" or "Fishbone cactus", is a succulent indoor plant appreciated for its unique leaves, similar to fish bones or zig-zag.

This plant is native to the tropical forests of Mexico and grows naturally on trees as an epiphytic plant, which means it does not need soil to grow. Its long, green, flat, wavy-edged leaves can grow up to several meters in length in their natural environment, although they are usually much shorter when grown indoors.

Selenicereus anthonyanus is a fast-growing plant that prefers partial light conditions and is resistant to most common plant diseases. It is also a drought tolerant plant, which makes it ideal for those who often forget to water their plants.

One of the most impressive features of this plant is its inflorescence. The flowers, which appear rarely and only on mature plants, are large, white and very fragrant, but they usually only open at night.
The plant is sold without flowers!

Note: the specimens in stock have leaves with defects/scars.
