Full description and specifications

Rhaphidophora tenuis - climbing botanical species from the Araceae family, endemic to Borneo.

Rhaphidophora tenuis is a plant from the Araceae family, related to popular genera such as Monstera, Philodendron and Epipremnum. It is native to tropical areas in Asia, including countries such as Malaysia and Thailand. This plant is less known compared to other members of the Araceae family, but it is starting to gain popularity among indoor plant collectors due to its unique appearance.

The plant has small to medium leaves, which can vary in shape and size, but are often heart-shaped or elongated. The stems are generally flexible and can climb or hang, which makes it suitable to be grown on a climbing support or as a hanging plant.

Rhaphidophora tenuis prefers well-drained soil and high humidity, typical for tropical plants. Like other plants from the Araceae family, this plant prefers strong indirect light, but it can also tolerate lower light conditions.

Regarding watering, it is good to let the soil partially dry between waterings to avoid rotting of the roots. Fertilization can be done regularly during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer.

Not much information is known about this variety, but it seems that the difference between juvenile leaves and mature leaves is very large.
