Filodendron squamiferum

Philodendron squamiferum belongs to the Araceae family, with nearly 500 species within the Philodendron genus. Philodendrons originate from the tropical forests of Brazil and Paraguay. They are usually large and impressive plants. The name Philodendron comes from the Greek word "phileo," meaning "to love," and dendron, meaning "tree."
Philodendron is listed among plants recognized for their air-purifying qualities and, in addition, does not require special care. The 1989 NASA study identified philodendron as one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde and improving air quality.
Philodendron care instructions:
Placement: Philodendron prefers a bright area, protected from direct sunlight. However, it will also tolerate a darker spot. The foliage will become greener if placed in a shadier area.
Watering: The soil should be neither too wet nor too dry. Water regularly, allowing the soil to partially dry out between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage.
Soil: Philodendron prefers nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture well.
Some leaves may show defects due to handling, but these do not affect the plant’s viability. Under optimal care conditions, new leaves will develop normally.
