Philodendron 'Snowdrift'

Philodendron ‘Snowdrift’ is a remarkable hybrid from the Araceae family, valued for its large, elongated leaves with spots and shades in tones of white, cream, and green, reminiscent of melted snow on tropical foliage. A collector's plant that combines elegance with an exotic air, suitable for modern interiors and bright corners.

🌱 Characteristics:

– Young leaves are light green, marbled with white and cream, becoming darker as they mature.

– Vigorous, semi-climbing growth, ideal for large pots or moss pole supports.

– Easy-to-maintain indoor plant, with a lush appearance all year round.

💡 Care:

Light: prefers bright indirect light; avoid direct sunlight which can burn the leaves. 

Watering: keep the substrate slightly moist, without excess water. Let the top layer dry out between waterings.

Humidity: high (above 60%); regular misting or a humidifier is recommended.

Temperature: between 18–28°C, protected from cold drafts.

Fertilization: every 3–4 weeks during the growing season, with liquid fertilizer for green plants.

Soil: airy, rich in organic matter, and with excellent drainage.

This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of the leaves. The nectar's role is to attract ants searching for food – thus, the plant gains chemical substances secreted by them, but also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects. 

Specimens in stock may also have leaves with defects/scars.
