Philodendron scandens subsp. micans D15

The philodendron (Philodendron) is listed among plants known for their air-purifying qualities.
The philodendron is considered by NASA to be one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde, especially when it is in high concentration.
Care instructions for philodendron:
Placement: The philodendron prefers a bright spot, sheltered from direct sunlight. However, it will also tolerate a shadier area. The foliage will become greener if placed in a more shaded location.
Watering: The soil should be neither too wet nor too dry. Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage.
Soil: The philodendron prefers nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture well.

This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of its leaves. The nectar serves to attract ants searching for food – thus, the plant gains chemical substances secreted by them, but also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects.
Note: Some specimens may show mechanical defects/scars and/or discolorations on the leaves.
