Philodendron mexicanum - a botanical species with large, intensely green, glossy, narrow and long leaves that become three-lobed when mature. The underside of the leaves shows impressive colorations whose intensity varies depending on light exposure. Young leaves are also colored in shades of green and yellow.

The plant is considered easy to care for and shows relatively fast growth.

Growth style: Climbing plant. In nature, it attaches to tree trunks - it usually develops strong aerial roots.

This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of the leaves. The nectar serves to attract ants in search of food - thus, the plant gains chemical substances secreted by them, but also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects.
Some specimens show slight variegation on some leaves (mottled variegation). Some specimens may show marks/scars on the leaves. This aspect is considered normal.

Height with pot included approx. 30-40 cm

Note: specimens with immature leaves - the specific shape is not yet formed.
