Full description and specifications

Philodendron 'Bette Waterbury' 69686 - variety that is supposed to be a natural hybrid that appeared in the Amazonian jungle. For the moment it is sold under the number 69686 instead of the name or under the name 'Bette Waterbury' - this being the name of the botanist who is supposed to have discovered the plant for the first time.

Philodendron 'Bette Waterbury' 69686 was confused for years with Philodendron joepii, due to the similarity between the two plants.

As with Philodendron joepii, the juvenile leaves are long and somewhat uniform, but as they mature, their appearance changes dramatically, becoming trilobed, with a long central lobe, narrow at the base, which increases towards the tip. The mature leaves reach an impressive size of up to 70 cm (under ideal conditions).

Growth style: The plant can support itself. When the atmospheric humidity is high enough, it also develops strong aerial roots.

The specimens in stock may also have leaves with marks/scars/defects on the leaves.

The decorative bowl is not included in the price.

Height with pots included: approx. 30 cm
