The cactus is among the most popular houseplants due to its easy care. Like most plants, it needs light, suitable soil, water, and fertilizer.
Care instructions for cacti
Placement: bright space, cooler during winter, sun during summer.
Temperature: moderate, not below 3 degrees Celsius.
Humidity: water once a month in winter, once a week with little water in summer.
Substrate: neutral Dutch peat or sand mixed with gravel.
Propagation: by separating the pups from the mother plant or by seeds.
Characteristics: Succulents and cacti should not be overwatered; too much water leads to plant rot. Cacti that rest in the cold during winter experience a dormancy that encourages abundant flowering the following year. To stimulate flowering, you can apply special fertilizer for cacti during the warm period.
