Maxillaria weberbaueri (syn. Maxillaria aurorae) - a rare botanical species found in Colombia and Peru on rocky slopes, in mountain forests at altitudes of approximately 320 to 1000 meters, growing as a medium-sized epiphyte, or occasionally as a terrestrial plant. It has clustered, smooth, ovoid-pyriform, compressed pseudobulbs, partially covered by several distichous, overlapping, membranous bracts, bearing a single leaf (or rarely 2), dark green in color, narrowing at the base into a long petiole. It blooms more frequently in winter and spring, with an erect, basal inflorescence 10 to 12.5 cm long, bearing a single flower that appears on a mature pseudobulb and is covered at the base by 3 tubular, pointed bracts. The flowers are fragrant.

Flower size: approx. 7.5 cm

Pot diameter: 9 cm
Height including pot: 20-30 cm

Note: Some specimens may have leaves with defects. At the time of listing, the plants have flowers - however, these may fade by the time of delivery. The number of leaves/bulbs/flowers varies from one specimen to another.
