Hypoestes phyllostachya is commonly known as the freckle plant.
Placement: bright but shaded spot
Humidity: keep soil moist, mist regularly.
Soil: neutral Dutch peat or a very loose mixture

Characteristics: Lack of air humidity causes the leaf tips and edges to dry out. Repeated pinching of the tips encourages branching.
