Hoya memoria is a species native to the Philippines, published in 2004 by Kloppenburg. It circulated as Hoya gracilis, but that name belongs to a distinct species from Sulawesi. The foliage is narrow, with silver splash. The flowers are pink, with a red corona and yellow center, and have a caramel fragrance. The name refers to Memorial Garden in Manila. Foliage and growth. The leaves are narrow and elliptic, with pointed tips. The green surface is speckled with irregular silver markings. The intensity of the splash varies from one leaf to another. Young leaves may temporarily show reddish tones, which fade as the leaf matures. The stems are thin and flexible; the shoots do not twine around a support on their own and must be guided if the plant is trained to grow upward.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are borne in umbels of 15–25. The corolla is pink to reddish pink, with reflexed, finely fuzzy lobes. The corona is red, with a yellow center. The fragrance is sweet and described as caramel-like. The flowers produce little nectar and may last for approximately one week. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.
