Hoya australis 'Lisa' is a variegated cultivar with a vining habit. The oval foliage combines dark green, light green, cream, and yellow, while new shoots may emerge pink, red, or purple before settling into their final coloration. The pattern varies from one leaf to another. This lot is a well-developed potted plant, with multiple plants at different stages—not a plant trained around a hoop and not a cutting from the small pot. Under good growing conditions, it may produce white umbels with a pinkish-red center and an intense fragrance. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth. The leaves are opposite, oval, smooth, and slightly fleshy. The variegation forms patterns in cream, yellow, and several shades of green. New growth often emerges pink-red or purple, then settles into its final coloration. The intensity and proportion of the colors are not identical on every leaf. The growth habit is climbing: the flexible vines can be trained onto a support or allowed to trail.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are waxy and star-shaped, predominantly white, with a pinkish-red center. They are intensely fragrant and may last for approximately one week. The flowers of this cultivar are horticulturally described as smaller than those of Hoya australis subsp. australis. Flowering depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. 'Lisa' is an established cultivar of Hoya australis R.Br. ex J.Traill, horticulturally associated with the Hoya australis subsp. tenuipes group.

Shipping note: this cultivar is sensitive to temperature changes. After receiving the parcel, the plant may lose some leaves.

Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
