Native to the Baja California Peninsula (Mexico), this cactus stands out with its architectural appearance and slow growth, making it an excellent choice for collectors of cacti and succulent plants. As it matures, it develops a well-proportioned globular body, with prominent vertical ribs and regularly arranged areoles bearing decorative spines. Mature specimens may produce yellow flowers, characteristic of the Ferocactus genus.
