Light:

Soil:
It prefers loose, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Erica x darleyensis is more tolerant of soil pH than many other types of heath, but it grows very well in a slightly acidic substrate.

Frost resistance:
It is a plant with good cold tolerance, suitable for outdoor cultivation, and can withstand temperatures of approximately -15°C.

Plants grown in pots are more exposed to very low temperatures because their roots are less protected than those of plants grown directly in the ground. During periods of severe frost, pots can be protected or placed in a more sheltered area.

Pruning:
After flowering, light trimming can be carried out to remove spent flowers and encourage branching. Severe pruning into the woody parts of the plant should be avoided.
