Cymbidium Enzan Knuckle is an intriguing orchid hybrid, resulting from the crossing of the botanical species Cymbidium tracyanum and the hybrid Cymbidium Signal.

• Registration: The hybrid was registered with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in the year 1999 by the grower Mukoyama.

• Genetics and Appearance: This hybrid is genetically dominated by the species Cymbidium tracyanum (which contributes about 63.5% to its genetic makeup). This suggests that the plant inherits distinctive traits of this species, such as the shape of the flowers (often with slightly twisted or wavy petals) and specific patterns of stripes or spots. Other species that contribute significantly are Cymbidium insigne (approx. 18%) and Cymbidium eburneum (approx. 9%).

It is a sturdy plant, valued by collectors for its exotic flowers, which recall wild species but with the vigor of a hybrid.
