Aglaonema 'Ivy Green'
Aglaonema 'Ivy Green' is a decorative indoor plant, easy to care for, being tolerant to low light conditions and rare watering.
Native to the Philippines, Aglaonema has decorative, slow-growing leaves that beautify any space. This is one of the few plants that can survive only in the case of fluorescent lighting, being an excellent choice for spaces with low light.
NASA places Aglaonema in the top 10 of plants recognized for its air purifying qualities, due to its ability to remove benzene and formaldehyde from the air.
Light : Aglaonemes prefer indirect light, but can tolerate lower levels of light. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
Watering: These plants prefer well-drained soil and need watering when the first 1-2 cm of soil are dry to the touch. Do not let the plant sit in water, as this can lead to rotting of the roots.
Humidity: Aglaonemas can tolerate low levels of humidity, but prefer a wetter environment. If the air in the house is dry, you can use a humidifier or you can place the plant on a tray with wet stones.
Temperature: The ideal temperatures for Aglaonema are between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. The plant does not tolerate low temperatures, so make sure it is not exposed to cold air currents.
