Dendrobium griffithianum 'Yellow Yuan'
Dendrobium griffithianum – a spectacular epiphytic orchid species from the Densiflora (Callista) group, native to Thailand, Myanmar, and Assam.
Clavate pseudobulbs reaching 30-60 cm, with 2-3 large glossy green leaves. Blooms in summer-autumn with erect or pendulous spikes of intense golden yellow flowers (3.5-5 cm), with a velvety orange lip. It has a pleasant spicy-sweet, pronounced fragrance under good growing conditions.
Vigorous growth, easy to cultivate. Requires bright light, warmth during the growing season (28-32°C daytime), abundant watering in summer, and a dry rest period in winter for maximum flowering.
