Rhynchovola Jimminey Cricket (Brassavola nodosa × Rhyncholaelia digbyana) - a primary hybrid obtained by crossing two botanical species with remarkable characteristics. The plant is compact, hardy, with large, fragrant flowers.
Technically, both parents that led to this cross are Brassavola, even though botanists have not settled, successively moving digbyana from Laelia to Cattleya, then to Brassavola, and finally to Rhyncholaelia.
Brassavola are known as "Lady of the night" because of their very strong scent that is especially noticeable during the night, this mechanism serving to attract nocturnal pollinators, and this hybrid is no exception.
Flower size: 12-14 cm
Care is like that of a Cattleya orchid. Consult the care guide here.
Fragrant flowers: DAGen/Type: Cattleya Alliance
