Rhaphidophora cryptantha is a rare, extremely striking plant that climbs on surfaces (a behavior called "shingling"). It originates from Papua New Guinea. The plant is known for its heart-shaped green leaves, marked with distinct silver veins.
Unlike other related varieties, the leaves of this plant do not reach giant sizes - immature leaves are about 3 cm, while mature leaves reach 6-8 cm.
Synonyms: Monstera acreana, Monstera irritans, Marcgavia dubia.
