Full description and specifications

Neoporteria villosa is a species of cactus native to Chile, which is part of the Cactaceae family. This cactus is recognized for its interesting appearance and its adaptability to dry and arid environments.

Location: Neoporteria villosa prefers bright places, but protected from direct exposure to the strong sun. A place with indirect light or exposure to the morning sun is ideal.

Temperature: This species of cactus tolerates moderate to hot temperatures. During the winter, it is recommended to keep the plant at a lower temperature, around 10-15 degrees Celsius, to stimulate the rest period.

Watering: Neoporteria villosa is adapted to dry conditions, so it should be watered moderately. During the period of active growth (spring and summer), regular watering once a week is usually sufficient. Make sure the soil dries out between waterings to avoid excessive moisture accumulation, which can lead to root rot.

Soil: Choose a well-drained soil mixture, specially designed for cacti and succulents. Make sure the pot has drainage holes.

Fertilization: The cactus does not require abundant fertilization. During the period of active growth, you can apply a diluted cactus fertilizer once a month.
