Masdevallia striatella

Masdevallia striatella is a miniature and compact epiphytic orchid species, native to the damp forests of the mountains in Costa Rica, Panama, and Venezuela, where it grows at high altitudes in cool to warm conditions. It has narrow green leaves about 5-10 cm long and produces inflorescences with small flowers, approximately 1-2 cm, white with purple stripes and short yellow tails, blooming abundantly in autumn and winter. It is easy to grow, preferring shade and constant moisture.
