Fenestraria rhopalophylla, commonly known as „Baby Toes” or "baby fingers," is a fascinating miniature succulent native to the desert regions of Namibia and South Africa. It is easily recognized by its cylindrical, succulent leaves with translucent tips, which allow light to penetrate to the internal tissues – an amazing adaptation to the intense desert sun.

🌿 Botanical characteristics:

  • Family: Aizoaceae

  • Origin: Namibia, South Africa

  • Leaves: thick, cylindrical, closely arranged like a fan; transparent tips function as "light windows" for photosynthesis

  • Flowers: large, daisy-like, white or yellow, appearing in spring or autumn

  • Growth: compact, in the form of small rosettes, 5–10 cm tall

☀️ Growing conditions:

  • Light: plenty of direct light or gentle sun; indoors, best near a south-facing window

  • Soil: very well-drained, specific for cacti and succulents, with added coarse sand or perlite

  • Watering: rare – only when the soil is completely dry; in the cold season, watering is minimized

  • Temperature: ideal between 18–26°C; avoid cold below 10°C

  • Fertilization: occasional, during the growing season, with diluted fertilizer for succulents

💚 Advantages and uses:

  • Miniature collector's plant, ideal for succulent arrangements, mini gardens, or terrariums

  • Extremely drought-resistant and easy to maintain

  • The flowers add a beautiful contrast to the "finger"-shaped foliage

  • Perfect for lovers of rare plants and minimalist botanical designs

⚠️ Note: Fenestraria is sensitive to overwatering – roots can rot easily. Rare watering and very airy substrate are recommended.

Decorative pot is not included in the price.
