Philodendron 'Bette Waterbury' 69686 - a variety believed to be a natural hybrid that appeared in the Amazon jungle. For now, it is sold under the number 69686 instead of a name or under the name 'Bette Waterbury' - this being the name of the botanist who is believed to have first discovered the plant.
Philodendron 'Bette Waterbury' 69686 was mistaken for years with Philodendron joepii, due to the similarity between the two plants.
As with Philodendron joepii, the juvenile leaves are long and somewhat uniform, but as they mature their appearance changes dramatically, becoming three-lobed, with a long central lobe, narrow at the base, widening towards the tip. Mature leaves reach an impressive size of up to 70 cm (under ideal conditions).
Growth habit: The plant can support itself. When the air humidity is sufficiently high, it also develops strong aerial roots.
Specimens in stock may also show marks/scars/defects on the leaves.
The decorative pot is not included in the price.
Height with pot included: approx. 30 cm
