Hoya acuta 'Albomarginata' - flori parfumate
Hoya acuta 'Albomarginata' (Hoya verticillata 'Albomarginata, IML 1625) - a species widespread in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia, is a strong plant with vigorous growth. The variegated form of the plant is considered rare and appreciated by collectors around the world.
The flowers are white/cream with a yellow-orange center, appear in clusters of up to 50, have a slightly spicy, medium-intensity fragrance, and have a lifespan of up to a week.
In recent years, the identity of the plant has been long debated, especially after botanists decided to classify as verticillata a number of varieties that show significant morphological differences in the leaves - something incomprehensible to most collectors.
It is currently marketed as both Hoya acuta 'Albomarginata' and Hoya verticillata 'Albomarginata'. In the past, it was also marketed as Hoya IML 1625.
