Phalaenopsis Rainbow Chip is a hybrid orchid, resulting from the crossing of the species Phalaenopsis Cassandra and Phalaenopsis Equestris.
Phalaenopsis Cassandra is a hybrid of equestris x stuartiana.
Some specimens, or in the case of certain hybrids all specimens, may have terminal stems. The terminal stem does not represent a quality issue and no distinction is made between specimens with or without terminal stems, as the plants in both cases meet international horticultural standards.
