Hoya finlaysonii 'Orabella'

This species is an epiphytic vine native from southern Thailand to western Malaysia. Under good growing conditions, it produces umbels of creamy-yellow flowers with burgundy corolla tips. The flowers are fragrant. Blooming depends on the plant’s maturity and growing conditions. The shoots are vigorous and easy to train onto a support. Foliage and growth. The leaves are elliptical, thick, and almost rigid, with a contrasting network of dark green veins. Flowers and fragrance. The species’ flowers are star-shaped and grouped in dense umbels. The corolla is cream or pale yellow, with a burgundy or reddish-brown distal half; the corona is cream. Identity. The accepted name of the species is Hoya finlaysonii Wight, published in 1834. Its native range includes southern Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Borneo. 'Orabella' remains a selection within this complex and is not a separate species. The commercial title remains unchanged.
