Bonsai Ficus Retusa is one of the most popular varieties among bonsai enthusiasts thanks to its exotic appearance and exceptional resilience. Botanical characteristics
This species originates in the tropical regions of Southeast Asia and belongs to the Moraceae family. It is a perennial plant with oval, dark green leaves that can be easily shaped through pruning. It grows slowly and can be trained in various bonsai styles, making it ideal for both beginners and enthusiasts.

Growing conditions
🌤 Light: prefers a bright location with indirect natural light. It can be kept outdoors during the warm season, but must be protected from scorching sun and cold drafts.
💧 Watering: water moderately when the top layer of the substrate is slightly dry. Avoid letting water stagnate in the saucer.
🌡 Optimal temperature: 18–28°C; avoid exposure below 12°C.
✂️ Care: regular pruning maintains the shape of the canopy; fertilization every 2–3 weeks during the growing season is recommended.
