Philodendron melinonii - botanical species native to South America and Brazil. The large plant, with a strong root system, stands out for its impressive foliage with thick, reddish petioles when the plant is grown in strong light. The new leaves have shades of light green, but darken as the plant matures.
The leaves can show variations in shape and color that appear spontaneously in some specimens. Currently, several cultivars have been selected, such as: Philodendron melinonii ghost/moonlight, Philodendron melinonii variegated, Philodendron melinonii mottled.
Philodendron care instructions:
Location: Philodendron prefers a bright area, away from direct sunlight. However, it will also tolerate a darker area. The foliage will become greener if it is placed in a shadier area.
Watering: The soil must be neither too wet nor too dry. Water regularly, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage.
Soil: Philodendron prefers a nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture well.
