Philodendron Shangri La

Philodendron Shangri La is listed among plants recognized for their air-purifying qualities.
The philodendron is considered by NASA to be one of the best plants for removing formaldehyde, especially when it is in high concentration.
This variety has nectar-producing glands on the back of its leaves. The nectar serves to attract ants in search of food – thus, the plant gains chemical substances secreted by them, but also benefits from the aggressive way ant colonies defend their territory and food source, protecting the philodendron from other harmful insects.
Specimens in stock may show slight variegation on some leaves (mottled variegation) or marks/scars on the leaves. This appearance is considered normal.
