Full description and specifications

Kalanchoe eriophylla is a perennial succulent plant native to Madagascar, prized for its leaves covered with fine hairs, which give it a velvety appearance. The name "eriophylla" comes from the Greek and means "woolly leaves", which perfectly describes the fluffy texture of its leaves.

This plant remains relatively compact, growing to about 10-15 cm tall and wide.

Kalanchoe eriophylla produces small, tubular, pink or white flowers that appear in clusters at the ends of the stems. The flowers usually appear in spring or early summer and are delicate, adding a nice contrast to the fluffy leaves.

Care:

Light: Kalanchoe eriophylla prefers indirect but bright light. It can tolerate direct sun in the morning hours, but should be protected from intense midday sun, which can cause burns on the delicate leaves.

Soil: The plant requires a well-drained soil, specifically for succulents. A mix of soil for cacti, combined with perlite or coarse sand, is ideal to ensure effective drainage.

Watering: Watering should be moderate. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot. In winter, reduce watering significantly as the plant enters a dormant period.

Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures, between 18-24°C. The plant does not tolerate intense cold and must be protected from frost, making it ideal for growing indoors or in protected places during the winter.

Fertilization: Fertilize the plant once every 4-6 weeks during the active growth period (spring and summer) with a succulent fertilizer, diluted according to the instructions.

Height with pot included approx. 8 cm

The plant is sold without flowers. The price shown is for 1 pot.
