Full description and specifications

Hoya siariae 'Red' - endemic species from Luzon Islands, Philippines. The plant stands out both for its foliage and for its interesting, fragrant flowers, with an umbrella shape and color that changes as the flower matures. At the moment of opening, the flowers are pink-transparent, and in the following days the color will become a rather intense red.
Flowering occurs abundantly and frequently regardless of the season, when the plant has good light, but the buds are thermosensitive and fall if there are large temperature fluctuations. Avoid placing in areas with strong air currents, or rooms where the temperature changes frequently.
The leaves are narrow and long, with prominent veins and become spectacularly colored when the plant is grown in strong light. The plant can be considered a hoya cactus - it requires less frequent watering and has an average growth. It tolerates a few hours of sun daily without problems, but pay attention to the size of the pot and humidity - if the ambient temperature is very high, the plant can quickly deteriorate, because it does not store a large amount of water in the foliage.
The initial name, published in 2002, is Hoya siarie. Currently, the name considered correct is Hoya blashernaezii ssp. siariae (republication 2014).
