Hoya 'Puom Siam Ruby'
Hoya 'Puom Siam Ruby' is a horticultural hybrid sold with the parentage Hoya 'Joy' x Hoya 'Jennifer'. It stands out for its large, thick, waxy foliage, with raised veins and margins that may develop ruby to burgundy tones in suitable light. It has a climbing habit and can be trained onto a support. The flowers form rounded umbels, with a creamy-pink corolla and deep pink corona, and are sold as fragrant.
Foliage and growth habit. The leaves are oval to elliptic, with a slightly sculpted surface and prominent venation. The intensity of the dark margin may vary depending on light and leaf age; young leaves may be predominantly green. The plant may have spots or minor foliar imperfections, including marks associated with edema, without changing the identity of the hybrid.
Flowers. The star-shaped flowers appear in almost spherical umbels. Product images show a creamy corolla with pink tints and a pink-magenta corona. The name "Ruby" mainly describes the potential coloration of the leaf margins, not a uniformly ruby-colored flower.
Substrate: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional substrate for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
