Orchid Phalaenopsis pulcherrima is widely distributed, from the northeast of India through Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and south through Malaysia, Sumatra to Borneo.
They are usually found at low altitudes, but there are known cases of meeting at an altitude of up to 1300 m. They grow like terrestrial orchids, in the shade of shrubs and bushes. It is a sandy soil, well permeable, which contains additives of organic residues.
Orchid Phalaenopsis pulcherrima is a lithic or terrestrial orchid, reaching 15 cm in height and with leaves 5-15 cm long. The flower stalks are long, with sequential flowering, reaching a length of up to 50-80 cm.
Flower size: approx. 2.5 cm
