Coelogyne pandurata is renowned for its large, green, fragrant flowers with a strongly contrasting lip. It is a vigorous tropical species that rewards good light and consistent humidity with several flowers open simultaneously.

Conditions. It prefers warm temperatures, filtered to bright light, and humid, moving air. Do not allow the roots to dry out completely; a very airy basket or pot is suitable for a mature plant.

Care. Provide bright filtered light, avoiding scorching sun; water thoroughly during active growth, allowing the water to drain completely. Let the substrate approach dryness between waterings, but do not allow it to dry out excessively. Apply diluted orchid fertilizer during the active season and repot when new roots appear, using an orchid substrate for vigorous growth.
