Calycanthus (Sinocalycanthus) 'Venus' - an extremely ornamental hybrid developed in the USA, through a complex crossbreeding. This resulted in a compact plant with a very large flower (approx. 10 cm) that has a pleasant sweet fragrance. This hybrid also has very good cold resistance.
The plant's appearance changes dramatically in late spring, when it is practically covered in fragrant flowers.
