Mentha piperita is a hybrid between Mentha aquatica (watermint) and Mentha spicata (spearmint). This variety is valued for the strong aroma typical of mint.

It is a fantastic variety for lemonades, ice creams, cocktails, and culinary dishes, but like other types of mint, it has numerous medicinal properties.

It withstands cold just like traditional varieties and is considered pest-free, the specific scent and essential oils it contains being a good repellent.
