Ceropegia ‘Silver Glory’ is a striking and decorative variety of the species Ceropegia woodii, commonly known as “string of hearts”. This variety is valued for its distinctive foliage, with perfectly rounded shapes and a bright silver pattern, making it an ideal plant for indoor decoration, hanging pots, or bright shelves.

🔹 Botanical features:

Form: A succulent plant with thin, trailing stems that can reach over 1 meter in length over time. It is ideal for hanging pots.

Leaves: Thick, fleshy, in the shape of a perfectly rounded heart, rounder than the classic form. The color is dark green with a bright silver pattern, and the underside of the leaf often has shades of purple or violet-purple. The surface is slightly glossy and waxy.

Flowers: Appear occasionally, especially in summer, and are small, tubular, in shades of pink-purple, with a unique shape like a small “trap.” Although interesting, the flowers are less decorative compared to the foliage.

🔹 Recommended growing conditions:

Light: Prefers strong indirect light. In good light, the silver pattern becomes more intense. It can also tolerate a few hours of gentle morning or evening sun.

Watering: Low. Water only when the soil is completely dry, as the roots and tubers store water. Too much moisture can lead to root rot.

Soil: Very well drained. A mix for succulents or cacti is recommended, possibly with added perlite or sand.

Temperature: Tolerates heat well but does not withstand excessive cold. Keep indoors during the cold season (temperatures above 10°C).

Fertilizing: Can be fertilized once a month during the warm season with a diluted fertilizer for succulent plants.

🔹 Other information:

Propagation: Very easy, by stem or leaf cuttings placed to root in water or directly in the soil. The plant forms tubers at the nodes, which can be used for propagation.

Toxicity: Not considered toxic to humans or pets.

Care: Minimal. Light trimming of the tips is recommended to encourage branching and maintain a compact shape.

Ceropegia ‘Silver Glory’ is a modern and striking plant, suitable both for beginners and for passionate collectors of succulent plants. With its round, silver, and elegant leaves, it brings a delicate and refined air to any indoor space.
