As a mature plant, it is considered very productive, capable of generating up to 7-8 flower stems simultaneously.
Brassavola is also known as the "Lady of the night" due to its very strong fragrance that is especially noticeable during the night, a mechanism that serves to attract nocturnal pollinators.
