Aeschynanthus marmoratus (2-3 növény/cserép)

Aeschynanthus Marmoratus (lipstick flower, lipstick plant) is a trailing houseplant native to Thailand and Malaysia. In its native environment, it is an epiphytic plant.

Main characteristics:

• Family: Gesneriaceae

• Origin: Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia)

• Appearance: Climbing or hanging plant, with long and flexible stems.

• Leaves: Dark green with marbled patterns on the upper side and a reddish tone on the underside.

• Flowers: Tubular, red or orange in color, with an appearance similar to lipstick (hence the name "lipstick plant").

• Growth: Moderate, suitable for hanging pots or hanging supports.

Care conditions:

• Light: Prefers strong indirect light but also tolerates partial shade. Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight.

• Water: Requires moderate watering; soil should be moist but not waterlogged.

• Humidity: High, being a tropical plant. Regular misting with water is recommended.

• Temperature: 18-25°C, does not tolerate cold below 10°C.

• Soil: Well-drained, peat-based, mixed with perlite or bark.

Propagation: Done by stem cuttings, which root easily in water or moist substrate.
