The camellia is a wonderful plant that delights us with its incredible flowers. The plant grows as a shrub and is suitable both for indoor spaces and for terraces or gardens. It blooms abundantly for 4-6 months a year (depending on care).
In Asia, the camellia holds special importance, being popularly called the "tea plant" and considered a symbol of the samurai.
Height including pot: approx. 30-35 cm

Withstands temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius.

Plant growth: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m
Placement: The camellia needs plenty of light but does not tolerate direct sunlight. It is recommended to place it in cool, shaded but bright areas, away from heat sources and with constant humidity. In Romania’s climate, the plant fares very well outdoors—provided it is planted in the garden, in a sheltered spot. It does NOT tolerate large temperature changes well (moving between indoors and outdoors, from warm to cold or vice versa)!
Humidity: Water regularly, without letting the soil dry out completely between waterings. On hot summer days, spray the leaves.
Propagation: By cuttings.
