Streptocarpus ‘Little Lina’
Streptocarpus (Cape Primrose) are easy-care plants that come in a wide range of attractive colors and will produce flowers for months. Streptocarpus are related to African violets, however, their care is slightly different.
Care:
• Light: Bright indirect light preferred; avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.
• Temperature: Ideal between 18-24°C; protect the plant from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
• Watering: Keep the soil slightly moist, but avoid overwatering; let the top layer of soil dry out between waterings.
• Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity; you can use a tray of water and pebbles under the pot or a humidifier nearby.
• Soil: A well-drained mix, such as that for African violets, is ideal.
• Fertilization: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength, once every 2-4 weeks, during the active growth period.
• Propagation: Can be done by leaf cuttings or dividing the plant.
