Notocactus mammulosus (Parodia mammulosus)
Notocactus mammulosus is a species of cactus originating from South America, especially from the dry regions of Uruguay. This is a cactus with a distinctive appearance due to its cylindrical shape, which can reach a height of up to 20 cm and a width of 12 cm.
Notocactus mammulosus flowers are yellow and appear at the top of the cactus. They are relatively large compared to the size of the plant and usually bloom during the summer. The flowers can last for a long time and add a nice contrast to the green color of the cactus.
Like most cacti, Notocactus mammulosus prefers direct sun and needs well-drained soil. It is a drought-resistant plant, but must be watered regularly during the growing season. It is resistant to low temperatures, but is best protected from extreme cold.
