Citrus japonica - Kumquat Oksana Hindsii

Citrus japonica or Kumquat.

The kumquat is one of the most resilient citrus varieties – an ideal shrub for decoration, but also used practically. Its fruits can be eaten raw, preserved in syrups or marmalades, or candied, and are highly appreciated.

In appearance, the fruit resembles a mini orange, but in terms of taste and how it is consumed, it is completely different. It is eaten or prepared whole, including the peel.
