Bulbophyllum odoratissimum (ugodno mirisno cvijeće)

Bulbophyllum odoratissimum - a botanical species that grows in Assam, eastern Himalaya, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, as well as in the provinces of Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Xizang, and Yunnan in China. This plant is found in evergreen forests at low altitudes and in primary mountain forests, at heights between 800 and 2500 meters. It is a miniature-sized species that thrives in warm to moderate conditions, either as an epiphyte on trees or as a lithophyte on moss-covered rocks. The plant has spreading, subcylindrical pseudobulbs, each bearing a single oblong-lanceolate leaf at the top. It most often blooms in spring and summer on a basal, slender flower stalk about 7.5 cm long, which has bracts and a terminal cluster of 10 to 20 pleasantly scented flowers positioned at the middle height of the leaf.

For the best growth, it is recommended that this species be planted in baskets or pots with an open medium, be exposed to partial shade, kept at high temperatures, and benefit from regular watering and feeding.
