Full description and specifications
Dimorphorchis lowii sp. Borneo - extremely rare species from Borneo, which stands out for the existence of two types of flowers, large, with different shapes and colors, on the same floral stem. The flower stalks reach impressive dimensions (up to 360 cm), and at the base they show yellow flowers, punctuated with purple, strongly scented, while towards the top you will find yellow flowers covered with large, brick spots.
This species prefers a light intensity between Phalaenopsis and Cattleya. It can be successfully grown in suspended supports or in placed baskets, with a coarse substrate specific for Vanda. The impressive size of the rods is not a problem, because they are resistant, flexible and can be braided or placed depending on the available space. Flowers have a lifespan of 2-3 months!
Flower size: 7.5+ cm
Flowering period: at any time of the year (free flowering). Flowering seems to be predominant in the warm season.
Note: the hanging system is not included
This species takes care of itself like a Vanda. Consult the care guide here. Fragrant flowers: DAGen/Type: Specialties
