Philodendron is part of the Araceae family and is native to the jungles of South America, which makes it adapted to conditions of low light and high humidity.
Care:
- Light : Prefers moderate, filtered light, but also adapts to low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
- Watering : Water the plant when the first centimeters of soil are dry to the touch. Philodendron 'Brasil' prefers a moist environment, but not overwatered.
- Humidity : Tolerates any level of humidity.
- Soil : Prefers a well-drained soil, rich in organic matter.
- Fertilization : Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer, diluted in half, once a month during the period of active growth (spring-summer).
- Cutting : Can be cut to control shape and size. Cuttings can also be used for propagation.
