Japanese banana tree - Musa Basjoo D15

Musa Basjoo - is one of the varieties with very good resistance to cold, which recovers easily after winter and quickly resumes growth. In the cold season you will have to protect the plant or place it inside. In the warm season, it grows very well on the terrace or (in southern Romania) even planted in the yard, in direct sunlight.
The banana does best in full sun - due to the fact that it is a fast-growing plant, fertilization and watering during the growing season are essential.

Although the foliage of the plant is lost at -2°C, the rhizome can withstand temperatures of -12°C without being affected.

Note: The leaves may have defects, and in certain stages of development the leaves at the base are completely missing - these aspects are specific to the variety.
